26 month Program designed for the busy full-time working School Leader.

• Leadership in Waldorf Schools

We also offer School Support Services and work directly with School Boards Faculty and Administrators.

Training Includes:

Training provides active support for the working school leader.

I. Teaching as an Art Week Leadership Cohort (Focus on Leadership and Waldorf Curriculum) Join your teachers as they concentrate on preparing for the coming school year at their grade level while you prepare for leading your school with best practices. Includes the following:

• Leadership Cohort Meets during the mornings to focus on best practices in leading Waldorf Schools.
• Experience some classes to get a feeling for the main lesson block grade level content in schools inspired by Waldorf principles. (Includes the phenomenological approach to science teaching in the Waldorf school and other unique Waldorf approaches, visual arts, movement etc.)

 II. 8 Courses included in the 2 weeks after Teaching as an Art Week and over 2 school years:

      1. Philosophical Foundations: Study Steiner’s Evolution of Human Consciousness through engaging classes and webinars during the school year

      2. Inner Development: Work with Steiner’s basic exercises for development of thinking, feeling, willing, equanimity and more. A great service in leading schools.

       3. Waldorf Culture: The festival life in the Waldorf School Community (includes place-based festivals). School Governance; building community; First Amendment (why anthroposophy is not a religion); healthy HR practices and work with Boards; teacher evaluation; Fundraising vs Community building events; and more.

        4. Waldorf Curriculum: Get an overview of Waldorf education at each grade level: Attend one grade level webinar per month (KG-Grade 8) during the school year to get a feeling for the expectations of content through the grades. Become aware of age-appropriate approaches that build capacity in the children for the future and why Waldorf uses these approaches. 

        5. Field Mentoring provided from an experienced and trained Waldorf educator and School Leader to offer relevant and applicable support and guidance to the teacher-candidate. Includes Certified, Licensed, experienced and highly qualified Principals and Pedagogical directors. Includes in person visits to your school to observe and provide individual mentoring and problem-solving. Includes periodic webinar support (no more than 1 per month during the school year) to meet with your leadership cohort for sharing and problem solving with Gradalis Leadership Instructors.

         6. Child Development provides an understanding of Steiner’s view of the developing human being that fosters capacities in the children for the future through various lenses. Includes special education and meeting the needs of neuro-diverse children.

          7. Temporal Arts provides training and experience in Speech, Eurythmy, Movement, and Music in Waldorf Education

          8. Visual Arts experiences will help you grow artistically through watercolor painting, drawing and clay modeling providing balance and a sense of beauty, the importance of working with silence and more.
