Kate Golden, M.Ed

Kate Golden earned a BA from Kenyon College, a Waldorf teaching certificate, and an M.Ed. from Antioch New England Graduate School. She has been a Waldorf class teacher for 30 years in the Pacific Northwest, most recently in a charter school in Boise, Idaho. Over the years, Kate has developed and helped to implement social and emotional learning programs consistent with Waldorf pedagogy and studied identifying and teaching students with dyslexia. Kate enjoys singing and using drama and movement in the classroom. She believes that Waldorf education is a healing balm for today’s world.
Kate and her husband, Claude, have been Waldorf parents, too. She knows the challenges and joys of being a teacher and parent and loves to share her skills and experiences in working with parents. In addition, she has studied educational and psychological models that help her bridge the language gap from Waldorf terms to those more commonly used and understood in mainstream education.
Kate enjoys walking in the foothills of Boise with her Aussie Mountain Doodle puppy, Sadie, and is a life-long knitter.
